The Institute for Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences invites applications for the position of a junior researcher / researcher.

• a PhD (or an almost finished PhD) in sociology, economics, political sciences, social geography or in other related fields;
• an extensive experience with academic publishing exemplified by publications in relevant journals or books published at well-established academic publishers;
• excellent English proficiency.

We appreciate

• a research stay at a prestigious academic institution outside of Slovakia;
• experience with statistical software and advanced statistical methods.

We offer a permanent position with a monthly remuneration between 1 500,- and 2 166,- EUR based on length of experience. In addition, monthly performance-based bonuses are offered. 

Recent PhD graduates are entitled for a 150,- monthly bonus. PhD graduates up to four years after finishing their degree can be awarded a competitive monthly stipend of 300,- EUR.
